‘One, Half’ grabs awards at Film Olympiad

‘One, Half’, a short film by Javid Farahani, has succeeded to scoop three awards at the 5th monthly Film Olympiad International Film Festival in Greece.

The film, also written by Farahani, grabbed award for the best actress in a leading role (played by Qazzaleh Hosseini) as well as the best editing award (Alireza Ahmadi) from the main competition section of the January edition of the 2022 Greek festival. 

The Bronze medal for best film was also bestowed upon Farahani, making three the number of accolades grabbed by ‘One, Half’ at the festival.

‘One, Half’ competed with more than 120 films from 33 countries, including films from the United States, South Korea, Greece, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Argentina, Turkey and China.

Produced by Farid Rezapour, ‘One, Half’ is a social drama that deals with the conflicts and misunderstandings between a couple played by Ghazal Hosseini and Javid Farahani.

The flick was previously screened at the 75th Festival Internazionale Del Cinema Di Salerno in Italy.

The Film Olympiad Grand Prix are competitive events that build up and lead up to the annual Film Olympiad super final.
