Iranian audience in the city of Tehran has selected five films at the 40th Fajr Film Festival.
The top five films include:
‘A Private Meeting’ directed by Omid Shams and produced by Amir Banan
‘The Situation of Mehdi’ directed by Hadi Hejazifar and produced by Habibollah Valinejad
‘Grassland’ directed by Kazem Daneshi and produced by Bahram Radan
‘The Deceased’ directed by Hossein Namazi and produced by Abbas Naderan
‘The Loser’ directed by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian and produced by Amir Banan and Kamran Hejazi
The FFF coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran every year.
