iFilm TV to air ‘The Deserted Station’

iFilm’s feature film ‘The Deserted Station’ has been scheduled to go on air on February 26, 2022.

Written by the late filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami and Kambozia Partovi and directed by Alireza Raeesian, the movie is about Mahmoud and Mahtab who have been married for years, but are unable to have a baby.

While they were driving through a desert on their way to Mashhad, their car breaks down.

Mahmoud finds a nearby village where the local school teacher agrees to help them fix their car so long as Mahtab fills in for him and takes care of the children’s classes.

Cast list of ‘The Deserted Station’ includes Leila Hatami, Mehran Rajabi, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, and Nezam Manouchehri.

The movie’s star Hatami won the best actress award at the Montreal World Film Festival in Canada.

‘The Deserted Station’, made in 2001, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 (all GMT times).
