Iran participating in Muscat Int’l Book Fair

The 26th Muscat International Book Fair in Oman has been hosting the Iran Book and Literature House.

The Muscat fair, which reopened on February 24, 2022 after two-year COVID hiatus, is hosting Iran in a booth titled ‘National Booth of the Islamic Republic of Iran’.

In an area of 27 square meters, the Iran Book and Literature House is presenting and introducing over 200 books on various topics, including religion, the Sacred Defense, contemporary and classical literature, children’s literature, Iranology and art.

Iran’s national pavilion is also offering books on various topics in Arabic.

The Crown Prince of Oman Theyazin bin Haitham Al Saeed and a group of other foreign and national guests attended the Thursday inauguration ceremony.

Launched in 1992, the Muscat International Book Fair is hosting 715 participants from various countries, including Iran, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan.

The fair is a record holder in several levels: “The number of participating countries, number of participating publishing houses, spaces, and public attendance,” writes the official website of the event.

The 2022 edition of the Muscat book fair will run until March 5.
