Directed by Amir Mehran, the eight-minute animation narrates the story of a war veteran who is trying to find the bodies of his soldier friends.
The man lost his fellow comrades during the war. Even though years have passed since the war ended, he is still searching for the location where he believes they were lost.
The short animated piece is a joint production between the director and Iran’s Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC).
The crew includes character designer Abolfazl Boroumandi, set designer Naeem Azad, animator Jalal Naeemi and storyboard creator Ammar Qanbarzadeh.
The animation has so far participated in several international festivals, including the Cartoon Club – International Festival of Animation Cinema, Comics and Game – in Italy, the AnimArt Film Festival in Greece, the International festival of animated film “Constantine's Gold Coin” in Serbia, and the Shanghai International Film Festival in China.
Launched in 1988, the ISIFF is one of the oldest festivals in Bangladesh.
Films from 130 countries are participating in the festival.
The 16th edition of the event is being held on February 25-March 4.
