Tehran-based Sadabad Historical and Cultural Complex has been scheduled to host an exhibition featuring the handicrafts of Iran and other member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
Organized by the Iranian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the exhibit will only showcase handmade products by female artisans of the Economic Cooperation Organization countries.
Entitled ‘Souvenir House of Eco Member States’, the exhibit will also host a group of 30 female Iranian handicraft artists who will attend the event with a variety of their high-quality handicraft products.
The exhibition is aimed to develop marketing and exporting products to the global handicrafts market.
Founded in 1985, ECO is an Asian political and economic intergovernmental organization that seeks to promote trade and investment opportunities.
The member states of ECO include Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The organization also aims to preserve the rich cultural heritage of its member states through common projects in the field of media, literature, art, philosophy, sports and education.
The exhibit will kick off on March 11, 2022 and will run until April 15.
