Iran decorates streets on Mid-Sha’ban

Iranians have decorated streets in different cities on Mid-Sha’ban, marking birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi.

The birthday anniversary of the 12th Imam is an Islamic holiday observed by Muslim communities on the night between 14 and 15 of Sha’ban, the eighth month of the Islamic calendar.

Mid-Sha’ban is celebrated in many countries across the world, including Iran, Pakistan, Lebanon, Turkey, Bangladesh and many others.
