Produced and directed by Farhad Irani, a photographer that has a challenging life, the documentary will be screened online at the British festival soon.
‘I’m Irani’ tells the story of an endless effort; the story of fighting a society that is ignoring the talents of Irani because of an illness he is suffering from.
He suffers from a genetic disorder that affects growth and development of the head, called Treacher Collins syndrome.
People with the disorder develop an unusual look that is unfortunately not received warmly by society.
The documentary narrates the story of a child that despite all the obstacles never gives up.
According to official website of the British event, “in traditional Lift-Off fashion, we bring true independent film from emerging artists around the globe, connecting the UK and international markets”.
Physical screening of films have been underway from March 14 and will end on April 11. Moreover, online screening of selected films, including ‘I’m Irani’, will be held after April 4.
