Firefighters gather to have iftar

Firefighting is a great job and the act of rescuing people in peril is precious.

Firefighters have to be on alert 24 hours a day to leap into action whenever they receive a report of a fire or any emergency.

In the fasting month of Ramadan, firefighters choose to share the evening meal “iftar” and enjoy eating together when they are not on an emergency call.

During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims abstain from eating and drinking from dawn to sunset.

The worshippers break their fast with the evening meal “iftar”.

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is the month when the first verses of the Holy Quran were revealed to Islam’s Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The act of fasting is aimed at reminding people of the plight of the impoverished people.
