'Good Girl' to head to AmiCorti fest in Italy

Iranian short flick 'Good Girl' has made it into the official lineup of the 4th AmiCorti International Film Festival in Italy.  

Written and directed by Raheleh Karami and produced by Mani Qandi, 'Good Girl' will be screening at the short film competition section of the Italian screening event.

“‘Good Girl’ is not an ordinary short film. It is a short narrative of subdued and unspoken hatreds; silence and breaking from within...,” a synopsis of the film reads.

Behzad Khalaj, Shaqayeq Faryad-Shiran and Mobina Azadi make the main cast team of the short flick.

'Good Girl' has already gone on screen at some global film events, including the Ischia Global Film & Music Fest in Italy, the Earl's Court Film Festival in the UK, the 5th Int’l Women Filmmakers Festival in Turkey and the Linz Int’l Short Film Festival of Austria.

The 14-minute flick is also the recipient of the special award at the 28th Sguardi Altrove International Women's Film Festival and the Special Jury Prize of the 13th Naples Human Rights Film Festival (Festival Del Cinema Dei Diritti Umani Di Napoli), both in Italy.

'Good Girl' is currently on screen at the 55th Humboldt International Film Festival in the US. 

Iranian feature film ‘Kulbarf’ is also picked for the competition at the international lineup of the upcoming edition of the AmiCorti festival.

The AmiCorti Film Festival is an international film festival takes place annually in the third week of June, for the duration of a week. It is attended by numerous local and international cinema stars who represent the important value of film culture, as jury and guests.

The latest round of the Italian festival will take place on June 10-18, 2022 in the Italian city of Cuneo.
