Iranians observe first night of Qadr

People all over Iran have attended mosques and other religious places on the 19th night of the holy month of Ramadan to observe Qadr rituals.

During the blessed month of Ramadan, Iranians and Muslims across the world observe the Qadr night's rituals in mosques and holy shrines.  

The nineteenth, twenty-first, and twenty-third nights of Ramadan mark the nights of Qadr. The nights of Qadr are the most important nights of the holy month of Ramadan; and Muslims seek refuge with their God through staying up, reciting Quran, praying, and reciting the prayer of the Joshan-e Kabir.

Qadr is believed to be the night when the holy Quran was first sent down from Heaven to the world and the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Muslims believe that during Qadr nights, every man's destiny for the next year is determined.
