Iran rock dome under spotlight

Jabaliyeh historical dome is one of the must-see places in Iran’s southeastern province of Kerman.

Jabaliyeh historical dome lies in the eastern part of Kerman, near Pardisan Park.

It is an octagonal dome and is made entirely of stone.

The structure had a door on each of its eight sides, but they have recently been blocked with stones in order to strengthen the structure and to save it from destruction. Only one of them is left open.

The upper part of the dome is made of bricks. Its interior has turned into a stone museum that is open to visitors.
