Iranian director to judge in Philippines

Yasser Talebi, an Iranian documentarian, has been selected to judge at the 2022 edition of the Pambujan International Film Festival in the Philippines.

Born in 1982, Talebi is a prolific screenwriter, editor, director, and documentarian.

He has made several documentaries, including ‘Beloved’, ‘The Descendants’, ‘The Iron Dream’, and ‘City’s Water’.

Talebi won the Best Director of Documentary award for the short documentary ‘The Iron Dream’ at the third edition of the Nice International Filmmaker Festival in France.

Established in 2009, the Pambujan is the first film festival in the east of the Philippines. The festival aims to bring the best international films to the local audience.

The upcoming edition of the festival will be held on December 21-23, 2022.
