Mohammad-Reza Karimi-Saremi, the secretary of the 12th edition of the TIAF, said the upcoming edition of the festival will take place as a physical event in Tehran, after a drop in new COVID-19 cases.
Besides judging and screening participating films from around the world, the festival will see the participation of 30 important animation companies and the holding of 20 meetings, Karimi-Saremi said.
The TIAF is a biennial event organized by Iran’s Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.
The event includes sections such as Competition section, Out of Competition, Special Screening, and Panorama.
The 12th edition of the TIAF will kick off on May 29 and run until June 2.
