India hosts Iran film

Iranian feature ‘The Ocean Behind the Window’ is being screened at the Smile International Film Festival for Children & Youth (SIFFCY) in India.

The 8th edition of the event has been hosting the film directed by Babak Nabizadeh.

This year’s edition of the festival screens over 100 documentaries, feature and short films from 50 countries.

‘The Ocean Behind the Window’ is the story of a teenage boy named Borhan on a remote island. He tries to promote the island’s tourism and attract tourists by presenting them with local music and traditions.

An unexpected problem arises while life on the island is improving by increasing the number of tourists.

The cast of the film includes Hadiseh Karami, Mohammad Azadi, Mehran Mozaffari, Jafar Qasemi, Hassan Zakeri, Bahram Komijani, Amir Qavidel, Yousef Ranjbar, Qolam Ranjbar, and Mohammad Salimi.

"The SIFFCY aims to provide healthy entertainment to children. It supports good cinema for the benefit of children and youth," writes the online submission platform of the event.

The festival has been running virtually in New Delhi from April 24 to 30, 2022.
