China influential news outlet, the Global Times, highlights the wide range of countries participating at Iran’s International Film Festival for Children and Youth.
A news story recently published on the website of the daily notes, “Filmmakers from 40 countries will participate in the 30th International Film Festival for Children and Youth.”
It also read, “Germany, France, Netherlands, Canada, China, Czech, Russia, Denmark, Turkey, Japan, the US, India, Qatar, Bangladesh and Egypt are among the countries attending various categories of the event.”
The Global Times is a Chinese daily under the patronage of the People's Daily newspaper which the latter is an official platform for China’s ruling party.
The International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults is organized annually by the Farabi Cinema Foundation in affiliation with the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs.
The event celebrates films made for children and youth. It also supports emerging filmmakers with innovative cinematic visions and ideas as well as serves as a platform for professionals to come together and exchange ideas.
The 30th edition of IFFCY is slated for June 30 to July 6, 2017 in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
