Busan filmfest awards ‘Adjustment’

Iranian short film ‘Adjustment’ has won an award at the Busan International Short Film Festival (BISFF) in South Korea.

Mehrdad Hassani’s 15-minute film grabbed the Grand Prix of the 39th edition of the festival.

The film was qualified for the Academy Awards, receiving the event's Oscar-qualifying prize.

‘Adjustment’ tells the story of little kid who has been shamed and pushed away by his family and friends. Having been through variety of ordeals and with a messed up mind and identity, Shahrokh, must face the people of his village and show up in the class before his classmates.

The key cast members of the flick are Mansour Nasiri, Moeen Asoudeh and Fatemeh Moradi.

The BISFF has been launched in 1980 as the Korean Short Film Festival. It was the first short film festival to appear in Korea.

The festival aims to discover and introduce outstanding short films from around the world.

The 39th edition of the BISFF tooke place on April 27-May 2, 2022.
