Damask rose picking in Iran’s Qom

Damask roses, which are known as Mohammadi flowers in Iran, are grown on hundreds of hectares in Qom Province.

Some 380 hectares of Qom’s farms are devoted to the cultivation of damask roses. It is estimated that 700 tons of the flowers will be picked there.

In Iran, the harvest season of the roses begins in the middle of spring.
