Trento Film Festival awards Iran’s ‘Zari’

The 70th Trento Film Festival in Italy has awarded Iranian short documentary ‘Zari’.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Zari’ won the Amelia de Eccher award in the Italian event.

Directed by Arman Qolipour-Dashtaki, the film is about a rural woman who lives in Iran’s southwestern province of Khuzestan.

Zari was different from other rural women. She drives a pickup truck and distributed gas among residents in 16,000 villages.

Trento Film Festival is the oldest international film festival dedicated to the mountains, adventure and exploration.

The 70th Trento Film Festival took place on April 29-May8.
