Cinema Museum of Iran holds an impressive archive of photos, magazines and documents on Iranian cinema.
The building of the museum, which is located in Tehran’s Ferdows Garden, is about 200 years old.
It is one of the oldest historical buildings in the Iranian capital of Tehran, which was built during the Qajar era.
Museum encompasses various halls under different names including the Contemporary, International, Child, Holy Defense, Theater, Hall of Fame and Farhad's House.
These halls represent the history and developments of Iranian cinema from the beginning of this art until now.
The Cinema Museum holds 40,000 photographs of Iranian cinema and artists, more than 5,000 volumes of cinema magazines and 3,000 pieces of historical documents.
