Iranian fest Zurich hosts ‘Cloudy Man’

The Iranian Film Festival of Zurich (IFFZ) in Switzerland has hosted ‘Cloudy Man’.

Written and directed by Shahin Jalali, the short flick tells the story of a man facing some unexpected events.

Mahmoud Nazaralian, Akbar Sadeqi, Ardeshir Zahed, Hamdollah Salimi, Rasoul Alinejad, and Mohammad Faraji are on the cast list of the flick.

‘Cloudy Man’ has already taken part in a number of global events, including the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea and the Grand OFF World Independent Film Awards in Poland, where it was nominated for best actor in a short film award.

The IFFZ is “a platform for presenting the Iranian culture and tradition and for building a bridge between different cultures by the means of the universal language of art – and especially the 7th art, cinema”, the website of the event reads.

The 8th edition of the IFFZ kicked off on May 26 and ran until June 1.

This edition of the IFFZ also screened ‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’ by Mehdi Zamanpour-Kiasari, ‘World Northern Hemisphere’ by Hossein Tehrani, ‘Without Everything’ by Mohsen Qaraee, ‘Bone Marrow’ by Hamid-Reza Qorbani, ‘Ti Ti’ by Ida Panahandeh, ‘No Choice’ by Reza Dormishian, ‘Yadoo’ by Mehdi Jafari, ‘Barter’ by Ziba Karamali and Emad Arad, ‘District Terminal’ by Bardia Yadegari and Ehsan Mirhosseini, ‘The Rain Falls Where It Will’ by Majid Barzegar, as well as ‘The Cow’ by Dariush Mehrjouee.
