Iranian short flick ‘Performance 54’ has been scheduled to take part in the Cinema Jove International Film Festival (Festival Internacional de Cine de Valencia) in Spain.
Ali-Mohammad Eqbaldar’s short will be on screen at the Short Film competition section of the 37th edition of the Spanish fest.
The 14-minute ‘Performance 54’ is about three high school girls who plan to perform a play at school.
At the end of the play, one of them notices the similarity of the play with her personal life. So she intends to change the show, but she can’t change others’ ways. Then she surrenders to their ways.
Mobina Honarmand, Pari Rashidi and Bahar Rava are the cast embers of the short.
The film has already been showcased at the Fribourg Int’l Film Festival in Switzerland.
In 2020, Eqbaldar, the film’s director, was selected as one of the jury members of the Muslim Film Festival in Australia.
The Cinema Jove International Film Festival is a meeting point for young filmmakers from the four corners of the globe.
The 37th edition of the fest is set for June 24- July 02, 2022.
