‘The Song of a Little Owl’ will take part in the festival’s Environment & Conservation category.
The film, directed by Mehdi Nourmohammadi, is about two little owls who have formed a new life in a forest away from the eyes of rivals. As a human sets foot in the forest, the life of the owls and other creatures living there changes.
Earlier reports said Iranian films ‘The Roots’, ‘Karun’, ‘Coexist’ and ‘Echo’ will also participate in the Finnish event.
The Vaasa Wildlife Festival is an international nature film festival. It was founded in 2002.
The gala screens works themed on climate change, people's relationship with nature and conservation.
The 11th edition of the festival will kick off on September 28 and run until October 2.
