Cool off on summer heat with Iranian Khiar Sekanjabin

Sekanjabin (Persian mint vinegar syrup) is a refreshing summer drink made from honey and vinegar.

It is one of the oldest Iranian drinks that helps the body get cool during summer, especially when it is made with Khiar (cucumber) and seasoned with mint.

This sweet and sour cooler is one of the ultimate summer refreshers.

The drink is made using water, mint extract or fresh mint, honey or sugar, peeled cucumber and white vinegar to balance out the sweetness.

Ready-made sekanjabin syrup is also available in the Iranian grocery stores.
