Zari-Bafi: Local craft in southern Iran

Zari-Bafi or gold lace work is a local handicraft representing southern culture of Iran.

Zari-Bafi is the most common art and profession after trade and fishery in the Iranian city of Jask in Hormozgan Province.

Local women of Iran’s Hormozgan who do Zari-Bafi create beautiful designs as a source of income in the Hormozgan region.  

This Iranian art includes weaving work where specific and beautiful designs are created on different types of fabric used in women’s clothing and local costumes.
