Stone dishes souvenir of Khorasan

The eastern province of Khorasan Razavi in Iran is home to one of the country’s most gorgeous hand-made artworks which are carved stone dishes and tablets.

Production of the art, mainly being practiced by artists from Neishabour city, needs simple materials.

Serpentine mined from the Binaloud ranges is the main stone used to make carved stone dishes and tablets.
