ifilm to air new series ‘Decius City’

Iranian series ‘The Decius City’ has been scheduled to be on the channel’s playlist, ifilm English website has reported.

Airing of the series, produced by Nasser Onsori and directed by Mehrdad Khoshbakht, is to be started on June 27, 2017.

In ‘The Decius City’, when Soheil’s father is on the edge of the grave, he asks to be buried in a family garden in the city of Jiroft. In the garden, soheil and his cousin, Mohsen, discover some ancient items.

They agree to bring the ancient objects to Tehran for Soheil to study them in order to discover the history of his family.

But Mohsen attempts to sell the items which leads to an intriguing saga of a murder and mystery intertwined with archaeological excavations and smuggling.

Among the cast list are Kamran Tafti, Negar Forouzandeh, Sam Derakhshani, Keikavous Yakideh, Alireza Kamali-Nejad, Atefeh Nouri, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Hassan Joharchi, Siavash Tahmoures, Mohammad Sadeqi, Mohammad Motee, and Anoushiravan Arjmand.

‘The Decius City’, produced in 2011 is replaced the historic series ‘Avicenna’ to be broadcast at 21:00 GMT (01:30 Tehran time).

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00. ‘The Decius City’ is comprised of 16 segments.
