Iran’s ‘Runner’ to run at Italy’s Giffoni

Iranian short flick ‘Runner’ has been selected to compete at the 52nd edition of the Giffoni International Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Seyyed-Payam Hosseini, ‘Runner’ narrates the story of a boy named Hakim who lives in the suburbs of Iran.

The cast of the film includes Bakhtiyar Panjei, Farshid Gavili, Hassan Taraqqi, Ardeshir Khodadoust, Fereydoun Hamedi, Mardin Sheikhmoradi, Arian Moradian, and Zhovana Nasiri.

The Giffoni International Film Festival is one of the most well-known children's film festivals in the world.

It takes place in the small Italian town of Giffoni Valle Piana in Campania, Southern Italy, close to Salerno and Naples.

The 52nd edition of the Giffoni International Film Festival is slated for July 21-30, 2022.
