Armenia to see ‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’

The Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival (GAIFF) in Armenia has been scheduled to screen Iranian documentary ‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’.

Directed by Mehdi Zamanpour-Kiasari, the 25-minute documentary will be screened at the international competition section of the 19th edition of the Armenian event.

The short doc is a delicate narrative of the life of two children named 'Abolfazl' and 'Setayesh' who experience a different life.

'Water, Wind, Dust, Bread', which took more than a year to produce, shows life in Fahraj Village of Iran’s Yazd Province.

The film has already been shown at a number of global events, including Seoul International Children’s Film Festival in South Korea, the Mediawave International Film and Music Gathering in Hungary, the ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival in Croatia, the MiradasDoc International Film Festival in Spain, the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in Greece, the Children’s Film Festival Seattle in the US, and the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, where it won the Jury award, and the Doc Edge Festival in New Zealand, where it received a special mention.

The Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival's impassioned mantra is to build bridges and foster dialogue between different cultures.

The GAIFF welcomes films representing diverse ethnic groups, religions, and nations that depict the human experience.

It wants to show the everyday lives of ordinary and extraordinary people alike, along with their troubles and joys, illustrating their journey as they try to find meaning and struggle to redefine themselves in a world that recognizes fewer and fewer boundaries.

The 19th edition of the GAIFF is slated for July 10-17, 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia.
