Colombia to host Iran film

Iranian movie ‘Foster Parents’ has made its way to the Children’s Audiovisual Festival (FICAIJ) in Colombia.

Written and directed by Hossein Ghenaat, the feature film will represent Iran at the 2022 edition of the event.

The film is about a teenage boy and girl who wish to have a better life due to their family’s economic challenges. Finally their wish is fulfilled and they experience a new situation.

Anahita Hemmati, Behnoush Bakhtiari, Bijan Banafshekhah, Hossein Ghenaat, Ramin NaserNasir, Shabnam Gholikhani, Shahram Ghaedi, Nader Soleimani and Yusof Sayyadi star in the film.

The FICAIJ is one of the most important windows for exhibiting quality educational and alternative content as well as commercial content for children, adolescents, youth and families in the country and the region.

The fest seeks to encourage the creation, production, exhibition and distribution of quality content for and by children, adolescents and young people in the region, stimulating the leadership of children in all these processes.

This year’s edition of the FICAIJ is slated for July 29- August 26.
