Iran's spider-tailed viper lures prey

A snake's complete body is merged seamlessly into the contours of rocks in Iran’s Zagros Mountains.

Its spider-shaped tail, however, makes a remarkable impression on any prey that might otherwise overlook the creature, tricking unsuspecting prey right in front of its fangs.

This is the spider-tailed horned viper luring potential prey. The mimic is a venomous snake endemic to western Iran.
