Veteran Esmaeel Shangaleh passes away

Veteran Iranian actor Esmaeel Shangaleh has passed away at the age of 86.

The late actor died on Friday due to corona virus infection.

Born in 1936, Shangaleh made his stage debut in 1954 at the Barbod Society before leaving Iran for Germany and Austria in pursuit of higher education.

In 1970, he graduated in Theater Directing from the Academy of Stage Arts of Vienna University and began working at the Theater Office, the School of Dramatic and Fine Arts, and the Council of TV Shows.

Shangaleh retired from his official position in television in 1996 but continued television and theater activities.

He appeared in ‘Sam and Narges’ (2000), ‘Killing Dogs’ (2000), ‘Look at the Sky Sometimes’ (2002) and ‘The Foreign Doll’ (2005).

iFIlm English TV has aired some of his works, including ‘The Cloudy Years’, ‘The Edge of Fire’, and ‘We Few’.
