Abbasabad historical garden under spotlight

Abbasabad historical garden is one of the tourist attractions of Behshahr County in Iran’s northern province of Mazandaran.         

Abbasabad is considered as the largest garden of the Safavid period. It attracts many tourists each year.

Abbasabad, which lies at the foot of Alborz Mountains, is one of the most important and largest historical gardens in Iran.

It has an area of 500 hectares.

Abbasabad historical garden is inscribed on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.  

Abbasabad historical garden is part of a historical complex of the same name that also includes a lake, dam.

The lake of Abbasabad, with numerous trees encircling it, is one of the best destinations for escaping the hustle and bustle of city life.
