Arasbaran Forest in northwestern Iran

Arasbaran is a mountainous area and one of the most visited tourist attractions in East Azerbaijan Province, northwestern Iran.

With eye-catching landscapes, the area is characterized by special climatic features, high biodiversity and rare fauna and flora.

Nearly 9000 hectares of this forest were reformed into a National Park, playing host to many fruits such as wild pomegranate, pear, blackberries and raspberries.

Creatures such as wild goats, Armenian rams, black bears, wild cats, leopards, foxes, and wolves can be found in this forest.

Many prominent Iranian figures, including Sattar Khan, were born in Arasbaran.
