Produced by filmmaker/actress Niki Karimi and directed by Ali Asgari, the Iranian-French-Qatari movie will be screened at the Chamber category of the gala.
“Student Fereshteh has to hide her illegitimate baby for one night from her parents who turn up for a surprise visit. Her friend Atefeh helps her. They embark on an odyssey through Tehran during which they must carefully weigh up who their allies are,” a synopsis for the film reads.
The cast list includes Sadaf Asgari, Ghazal Shojaee, Babak Karimi, Amir-Reza Ranjbaran, Nahal Dashti, and Mohammad Heidari.
‘Until Tomorrow’ marked its world premiere at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) in Germany.
It has also gone on screen at some global events, including the International Istanbul Film Festival in Turkey and the Ulju Mountain Film Festival in South Korea.
Celebrating its 75th anniversary, the Edinburgh International Film Festival will take place in the capital of Scotland on August 12-20.
