Hamedan commemorates National Day

Hamedan, the oldest city in Iran, has commemorated its National Day.

Located on the slopes of Alvand Mountain, the city dates back to more than 3,000 years ago.

It was the capital city of the Medes' kings where had been the first site for political and administrative bodies in the ancient country.

Hamedan is one of the most important five cities significant in terms of tourism and historical monuments in Iran.

Some of the major tourist attractions of this city are Ganj Nameh, Mausoleum of Avicenna, Ali Sadr Cave, and Mausoleum of Baba Taher.
