Produced by Seyyed-Zia Hashemi and written and directed by Amir Pourkian, the 90-minute movie tells the turbulent story of a contemporary family, in which Saeed, a 45-year-old man and the manager of a construction company, lives with his wife, Sara, and his seven-year-old daughter. His wife is extremely traditionalist and his daughter has diabetes.

The cast list of ‘The Future’ includes Pantea Bahram, Kambiz Dirbaz, Amir Jafari, Nima Shabannejad, Shahram Qaedi, Ali Ostadi, Shirin Yazdanbakhsh, and Bahareh Afshari.

Established in 1993, the “Love is Folly” International Film Festival is the "doyenne" of the international film festivals in Bulgaria, according to the website of the event.

The festival's goal is to show the most recent works in the realm of the seventh art, and it screens more than 90 films each year from both the Bulgarian and international film lists.

The 2022 edition of the “Love is Folly” has been slated for August 26-September 4.
