Arbaeen pilgrims watch ‘Hussein Who Said No’

Iranian movie ‘Hussein Who Said No’ is being screened during Arbaeen Walk.

Directed and written by Ahmad Reza Darvish, the film is being displayed for pilgrims of Karbala during Arbaeen Walk ritual.

The historical religious Iranian film narrates Battle of Karbala on Day of Ashura and tells the uprising of the third Muslim Imam, Hussein ibn Ali (AS).

Babak Hamidian, Anoushirvan Arjmand, Pouria Poursorkh and Mahtab Keramat are among actors on the cast list.

British-Indian editor Tariq Anwar was in charge of editing the film.

The flick won notable prizes at Fajr International Film Festival, including the awards for Best Director as well as Best Supporting Actor (Babak Hamidian).

The impressive biopic has grabbed awards at several international film events, including Baghdad International Film Festival.
