Daraei-Bafi, an 800-year-old art in Iran’s Yazd

Daraei-Bafi is an 800-year-old art of fabric weaving in which threads are dyed before weaving.

That method has been used in some countries across the world.

In Iran, this method of making fabrics is only used in the central city of Yazd.

That cloth woven using Daraei-Bafi method is made of natural silk, and displays very beautiful geometric motifs and designs.
