Grape harvest in Iran’s Jowzan: Photos

Each year as summer approaches its end, the harvest season of grapes start in the villages of Tusk and Jowzan in Jowzan Rural District in Malayer County of Iran’s western province of Hamedan.

Malayer with more than 10,000 hectares of grape orchards and vineyards is one of the top grape and raisin producers and exporters in Iran.

It produces and exports more than 240,000 tons of grapes and 45,000 tons of raisins each year.

Malayer is a major raisin exporter in the world, making up 27 percent of the world’s raisin exports.
