Ireland hosts Iran short

Iranian short film ‘Graveyard’ has made its way to the Indiecork International Film Festival in Ireland.

Directed by Ali Daraee, the film is vying at the 2022 edition of the BAFTA-qualifying event which is currently underway.

In its second international screening, the short is competing with 38 other films from around the world in the main competition section.

“Reyhaneh was the reason for her baby’s death. Now, in the absence of his runaway husband, she is looking for a way to bury the baby. She deals with different hardships but eventually finds a way to get what she wants,” a synopsis of the film reads.

IndieCork is Ireland's premiere festival of international independent film, in particular short films.

The festival screens all genres - including features, documentaries, mixed media and cross-platform, while it welcomes drama, narrative, animation, experimental, music, poetry film, and everything in between!

The 10th edition of the event is underway from October 2- 16.
