IRIB chief hails Iranian series ‘Salman the Persian’

Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Peyman Jebelli has hailed the Iranian series ‘Salman the Persian’, which is undergoing the production stage.

During his visit to a filming location of ‘Salman the Persian’ in Shahrud City on Thursday, Jebelli stressed the importance of the TV series, which revolves around Salman the Persian, the Iranian companion of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

He noted that the series ‘Salman the Persian’ is special, and helps “strengthen Iranians’ historical memory so that they know what a place they had among the Prophet’s companions”.

Jebelli also emphasized that the series is of global value and reach, referring to the interfaith aspect of the story of ‘Salman the Persian’ and the participation of foreign actors in the serial.

Meanwhile, Jebelli appreciated the cast and crew members of the series.

For his part, Davoud Mir-Baqeri, the series’ director and writer, expressed his pleasure at Jebelli’s visit.

He noted that 33 percent of the middle part of the series has been filmed.
