Iran’s ‘My Son’ to compete at IIUSFF

Iranian ‘My Son’ has made its way to the International Inter University Short Film Festival (IIUSFF) in Bangladesh.

‘My Son’ is named as an official selection for the 14th edition of the IIUSFF.

The film genre is crime fiction. It is directed by Sahar Mirzaeeanfar and Kamran Mohammadi.

“A corpse… two suspects! Who is the killer?” a synopsis for the film reads.

Earlier reports said Iranian films ‘Psycho’ and ‘A Narration of a Funeral’ would also take part in the festival.

The IIUSFF is organized by Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS) in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Established in 2007, the festival “aspires to promote and inspire the work of university-going filmmakers with the slogan ‘Take Your Camera, Frame Your Dream’”, according to an online submission platform.

The screening of the participating films has begun since October 11.

Meanwhile, the festival’s main event will take place on November 5-8.
