Philadelphia filmfest to show ‘The Dark Way’

The Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival (PAAFF) in the US has been slated to host Iranian documentary feature film ‘The Dark Way’.

Written and directed by Anahid Davari, the doc is selected to be screened at the Documentary Feature competition section of the American event’s 15th edition.

A brief synopsis for ‘The Dark Way’ reads, “our life was impacted by an act that was not included in any book of law…”.

The cast members of the flick include Shirin Bina, Hanieh Farahani, Faranak Forouzanfar and Sousan Yazdani.

The film has already taken part in the Aporia International Village Film Festival in South Korea and the Montreal Feminist Film Festival in Canada.

The Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival “aims to serve as a platform to showcase and celebrate Asian and Pacific Islander diaspora storytellers and their works”, the website of the event reads.

The 2022 edition of the festival will take place on November 3-13.
