CSFF to review films from Iran

The 27th edition of the Canberra Short Film Festival (CSFF) in Australia has been set to screen a number of films from Iran in a program named “Iranian Nights”.

More than a dozen Iranian films will be screened as part of the program, including ‘The Savior’ by Soheila Pourmohammadi, ‘Solar Eclipse’ by Alireza Qasemi and Raha Amirfazli, ‘Katvoman’ by Hadi Sheibani, ‘A Winner’ by Mehdi Mahaee, ‘The Statue’ by Mohsen Salehifard, and ‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’ by Mehdi Zamanpour-Kiasari.

The first part of the program will be held on November 11, while the other part is slated for November 13.

The Canberra Short Film Festival is an independent competition-based festival. It screens “the best short films, from Australia and around the globe, across the Canberra region”, website of the event reads.

“We look for films of any genre and style that feature; high production values, innovation, thought provoking themes, great use of the medium and beautiful storytelling;  up to 20 minutes in length and made within the previous 18-months,” it adds.

The upcoming edition of the CSFF will take place on November 4-20.
