Montecatini screens Iran’s ‘Katvoman’

Iranian short ‘Katvoman’ has made its way to the Montecatini International Short Film Festival in Italy.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Katvoman’ took part in the 73rd edition of the Italian festival.

The film, written and directed by Hadi Sheibani, is inspired by the fictional character of Catwoman.

“Katvoman has become weak to the extent that she cannot save people anymore,” a synopsis for the film reads.

‘Katvoman’ received its world premiere at the 20th Molise Cinema Film Festival in Italy.

The film was awarded at the 58th edition of the International Amateur Film Festival of Kelibia in Tunisia.

The 73rd Montecatini International Short Film Festival screened several other Iranian films, including ‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’ and ‘Psycho’.

The 73rd edition of the festival was held on November 2-6.
