‘Adjustment’ vying at Chicago filmfest

Iranian short film ‘Adjustment’ has been competing at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival (CICFF) in the US.

The 15-minute short, directed by Mehrdad Hassani, in in competition with 12 other works from around the world for the best film award of the 39th edition of the American fest.

‘Adjustment’ tells the story of little kid who has been shamed and pushed away by his family and friends. Having been through variety of ordeals and with a messed up mind and identity, Shahrokh, must face the people of his village and show up in the class before his classmates.

The key cast members of the flick are Mansour Nasiri, Moeen Asoudeh and Fatemeh Moradi.

The film has already participated in a number of global events, including the Busan Int’l Short Film Festival in South Korea, the FIN Atlantic Int’l Film Festival in Canada and the Sedicicorto Int’l Film Festival in Italy.

The CICFF is an Oscar-qualifying children’s film festival that hosts international works.

Each year, the CICFF presents a selection of high-quality films for children, teens, and adults, featuring over 250 films from 40 countries.

The 39th edition of the event has been underway since November 4 and it is scheduled to wrap up on November 20, 2022.
