Kordestan Province home to 36 active ecolodges

Director General of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Kordestan Province told the media that the province hosts 36 active ecolodges for tourists.

A number of 14 ecolodges are located in seven main tourist villages including Dolav, Avihang, Nooreh, Bisaran and Bolbar.

Also 21 ecolodges are in some other smaller villages like Galin, Taeeneh, Takhteh, Dorood and Galaneh.

The establishment of ecotourism residences can lead to the development of tourism and economic prosperity in villages.

Kordestan as the four-season province of Iran is one of the most popular tourist attractions of the country.

A total of 2,000 works including historical monuments, natural caves, old trees, movable heritage, aqueducts and natural places have been identified in the province, of which 930 works have been registered on the National Heritage List.
