Directed by Ali Daraee, the film grabbed the nomination for the best film at the eighth edition of the event.
In its second international screening, the short is competing with 38 other films from around the world in the main competition section.
“Reyhaneh was the reason for her baby’s death. Now, in the absence of his runaway husband, she is looking for a way to bury the baby. She deals with different hardships but eventually finds a way to get what she wants,” a synopsis of the film reads.
Renowned Iranian filmmaker Narges Abyar is one of the members of the jury panel at the event.
Alemlere Rahmet short film festival is dedicated to short films that put forward the life and universal message of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
The eighth edition of the festival was held on November 21-27, 2022.
