Iranian series ‘Leaden Stars’ has been scheduled to be on the channel’s playlist, ifilm English website has reported.
Airing of the series, produced by Azam Tondro and directed by Mohammad-Reza Ahanj, is to be started on July 5, 2017.
‘Leaden Stars’ is about Ghazaleh, a young girl from a poor family who has been employed by a drug dealer named Tahmineh to deliver the stuff to customers. Her motivation for getting involved with such a dirty trade is making money for immigration to Italy.
She's learning Italian and saving every buck for her trip. On the other hand, she is engaged to marry a very decent young man and she wants him to go with her.
Her little sister is very dear to her too, so she decides to take her as well. A rich lawyer who is in cahoots with Tahmineh takes Ghazaleh for a ride and promises her to get visas for the three of them, if she pays through the nose.
Among the cast list are Reza Tavakkoli, Sharareh Dolatabadi, Nasrin Moqanlou, Mohsen Afshani, Amir-Hossein Modarres, Farrokh Nemati, Mohammad Omrani, Tarlan Parvaneh, Soudabeh Beyzaee, Iman Safa, and Afshin Sangchap.
‘Leaden Stars’, produced in 2009 is to replace the series ‘The Forbidden Fruit’ to be broadcast at 18:00 GMT (22:30 Tehran time).
ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 00:00, 09:00 and 15:00. ‘Leaden Stars’ is comprised of 17 segments.
